Inter Religion Court Marriage is a legal marriage between two individuals belonging to different religions (e.g., Hindu-Muslim, Christian-Sikh, Jain-Muslim, etc.), conducted under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. It allows any two people to marry without converting or performing religious rituals.

Process for Interfaith Court Marriage
Document Submission & Verification
Prepare and submit all necessary documents at the SDM office.

Notice Period (30 Days)
A public notice is issued to invite objections (as per law).

Marriage Date Confirmation
After 30 days, if no objections, marriage date is finalized.

Court Marriage Ceremony
Both partners and 3 witnesses sign the marriage register in front of the Marriage Officer.

Marriage Certificate Issued
A legal marriage certificate is given on the same day.
